Blue Lotus

Choosing the best Komodo diving liveaboard is never easy, but Blue Lotus should certainly be on your list. This wonderful phinisi schooner normally takes just 10 lucky guests to Komodo's best diving sites, but can take up to 12 guests in certain cases. All guest cabins have a private en suite bathroom and air conditioning. The guest cabins are located on the upper and lower decks, with a diving deck and lots of delightful communal areas on the main deck.

Starting at the top of Blue Lotus, we have an expansive sundeck for topping up your tan in the day, or star gazing at night. Up here you also have the best views of the stunning Komodi Islands.

Blue Lotus' upper deck has the captain's wheelhouse and crew quarters, plus the best guest cabin, which is the master cabin. Here you will find a large double bed, private bathroom and panoramic views. In addition, there's direct access to a private balcony to the rear of the boat.

The main deck of this wonderful liveaboard is where you will find multiple communal areas, inside and out. To the rear is the dive deck, where the equipment is safely stored, with each guest having their own station for tank and gear. Diving takes place from tender dinghies, after the attentive crew help guests in and out. Further forward we have a communal bathroom on one side and the galley on the other. Although the galley on boats is small, you will be amazed by the delicious meals served by the team, three or more times per day. It's a great blend of local and western cuisine that is sure to fill you up during each diving day. Next to the galley is a small indoor dining area, with a library. Then outside to the front of the main deck we have a huge outdoor dining area, which is covered to enable it to be enjoyed regardless of the weather. Here is normally where the delicious meals and post-dive drinks are enjoyed among the company of other guests.

Finally, Blue Lotus' lower deck is where you find four guest cabins, which are two twins and two doubles, all of which have a private bathroom and air con. The twins have two fixed single beds. The doubles have a large double bed plus a single. In normal cases where the trip is a 'join in' trip, the double cabins only accept two guests, which can be a couple or two friends or siblings. But when a large group book the whole boat for a charter booking, three guests can stay in these cabins.
