KLM Mari

KLM Mari is a traditional Indonesian Phinisi liveaboard built from ironwood and teak by skilled boat builders in South Sulawesi. Measuring 34 metres in length and purpose built for diving, she combines classic Indonesian craftsmanship with the comfort and practicality expected from a modern dive vessel. With space for just 14 guests in 7 cabins, Mari offers a relaxed and uncrowded atmosphere that allows guests to enjoy both the diving and the journey between destinations.

Throughout the year, Mari explores some of Indonesia's most spectacular diving regions including Raja Ampat, Triton Bay, the Banda Sea, the Forgotten Islands, Halmahera and Komodo National Park. These remote destinations are renowned for their extraordinary biodiversity, pristine reefs and exciting variety of marine life. Depending on the itinerary, guests may encounter manta rays, reef sharks, whale sharks, turtles, schools of fusiliers, barracuda and countless species of colourful reef fish. Macro enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy, with nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses and other fascinating critters regularly spotted throughout Indonesia's rich underwater ecosystems.

The experienced dive team offers up to four dives per day and works closely with guests to ensure every dive is both enjoyable and rewarding. Whether exploring dramatic walls, colourful coral gardens, current swept channels or remote seamounts, divers benefit from knowledgeable guides who understand these waters and the marine life that inhabits them.

Accommodation is provided in seven ensuite cabins located on the main deck. The vessel features three Deluxe Cabins and four Superior Cabins, all equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, private bathrooms, hot water and storage space for personal belongings. Large windows provide natural light and sea views, creating bright and comfortable living spaces throughout each trip.

Between dives, guests can relax in the open air lounge, enjoy panoramic views from the sun decks or share stories with fellow travellers in the outdoor dining area. Freshly prepared meals are served throughout the day, combining local flavours with international favourites to keep guests fuelled for the diving ahead.

The crew of ten provides attentive service throughout every voyage, while the spacious dive deck offers dedicated equipment storage and a well organised setup for gearing up and entering the water. Nitrox is available for certified divers, and the boat's layout has been designed to make life on board comfortable and efficient for both divers and non-divers alike.
