MV Carpe Novo

Carpe Novo is a 43m. diving yacht launched in 2016 to offer the best Maldives dive cruises for discerning guests. Purpose built by an experienced team of master ship builders, Carpe Novo is able to offer the best in luxury at very competitive rates. Just 22 lucky guests stay in a range of cabins, all of which are spacious and have private bathrooms. The boat is the third in the Carpe fleet, using the team’s experience to create the perfect Maldives diving yacht.

Like most other Maldives liveaboards, Carpe Novo has cabins on three decks. However, unlike the others, there are two single suites on the main deck for solo guests. The other cabins are 6 on the lower deck and 4 on the upper deck. The lower deck standard cabins (twins & doubles) are anything but ‘standard’ due to their size & facilities such as flat-screen TV, mini safe, wardrobe and of course air conditioning & en suite private bathroom. The main deck solo suites have a queen-size bed and large windows in addition to the standard facilities. Carpe Novo’s upper deck is home to 4 king-size double-bed suite cabins, two of which that can be separated to make a twin share. The luxury and ocean views of these suites ensures that they sell out quickly for every trip.

Communal areas on Carpe Novo are many & varied, and there’s always somewhere for guests to relax alone, or in small or larger groups. These areas include an air-conditioned lounge and dining room on main deck, as well as outdoor seating and dining areas on the upper deck to enjoy the wonderful views and sea breeze over dinner or a drink. Many Maldives yacht guests like to sunbathe, read, or stargaze, and this is possible from the many comfortable sun loungers on the boat’s large sundeck in addition to the huge shaded seating area at the top of the boat.

To ensure that every part of the boat is used to offer space & comfort, Carpe Novo diving guests are transported to and from each dive site in the large (20m.) tender support vessel, known as a dhoni. Not only does this free up space on the main boat, it enables divers to be dropped off at exact locations and picked up efficiently. High-quality diving equipment is available for hire, as well as Nitrox and larger tanks. The boat’s schedule and itineraries are designed to offer the very best Maldives scuba diving cruises at any time or year, with the organisers’ & captain’s experience and local knowledge. Several trip types are available and are one week or 11 days in length. The diving is so good that many guests want to spend as long as possible in the water, but then the on-board luxury & service is also so good that some find it difficult to leave. There are a few Maldives diving itineraries for Carpe Novo guests. Most depart from and return to Male’, while a few use other ports, such as Huvadhoo. Please check the schedule carefully or ask us before you book your flights. Unlike most other Maldives scuba liveaboard boats, Carpe Novo offers special itineraries to ‘get away from the crowds’ while exploring new locations. There are also cruises which focus on other water sports, although most are for scuba diving.
