At 27 metres in length, MV Camic is a typical-size liveaboard boat which visits the Similan Islands & Richelieu Rock. The boat has earned a reputation as something a bit special for its delicious food. The mouth-watering meals are something to look forward to throughout the diving day. This includes Thai and western cuisine, served buffet style.
There are two cabin types to choose from. These are the master cabins which have a double bed, and the twin-bunk cabins that have two single beds. All have private en suite bathrooms & air conditioning. For some private charter trips there is also the option of a standard twin cabin that shares the boat's communal bathrooms, thus increasing guest capacity to 16. There is a covered communal area where the delicious meals are enjoyed. On the top and at the front of the boat are areas for guests to enjoy the sea breeze, sunbathe, gaze at star-filled skies or watch out for jumping dolphins.
Camic trips are four days and four nights, with up to 15 dives. They start at Similan Islands and then move north via Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, then Surin and Richelieu Rock. Dive groups are normally limited to four guests per guide.
There is time to relax and really get into the fun diving, or even take part in a PADI dive course to increase your certification and experience. PADI courses on Camic are unbeatable value. Itinerary
Camic's itineraries are 4D/4N up to 14-15 dives starting at Similan Islands, then during the cruise you sail north to Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and the Surin Islands. On the way back the boat normally stops at a couple of wrecks.
Some other websites show the same trips as 5D/4N, which is misleading because there are only 4 proper days.
The itineraries below are the most-common for each trip, but these can sometimes be changed for a number of reasons. Small changes are made due to weather & sea conditions, special marine life sightings, overcrowded dive sites, local-authorities' instructions, and the needs & requests of the paying guests. The safety & comfort of all guests is most important at all times.

The diving was fantastic, on the whole. Amazing underwater life though be prepared for the occasional strong current and bad visibility - but that’s what brings in the Mantas etc!
Food was very good and loved Dennis’ enthusiasm and humour plus desire to give us a lot of information on the dive sites and safety was high on the list.
The boat itself was fine. Not 5 star but I was happy we had en suite and AC and no nasty bugs. It was clean (maybe put some hooks in the cabins to help dry towels and store gear?) Don’t take a big bag in board, cabins are small.
We made some great friends on board and I only wish I could speak Thai to thank the crew better for their amazing care of us.
I’d definitely recommend booking with Jamie as well, totally efficient and fast replies for every question I threw at him.
This was my first experience, and wow MV Carmic have set the bar high.
Booking with no troubles, just Bubbles was very easy and communication was fantastic.
It’s difficult to rest between dives because the only seating provided on the Sun deck was a few very old mats. Resting in the cabins was difficult because the crew hangs out down there during the day and to say they are noisy is an understatement.
The food was fine. I found the long, rambling stories that accompanied every dive briefing to be irritating and unnecessary, but realize that might just be me:) This was my second time in the Similans and the diving there is wonderful! Just try to find a better boat.
