Sailing from Ranong, near the Burmese border, MV Thai Sea is a very popular 20m long diving liveaboard that can accommodate up to twelve guests. There are five twin-bunk cabins and one with a double bed. The boat is owned and run by a French couple who have a great deal of experience in liveaboard cruises to the best dive spots in Thailand and especially into Myanmar (Burma).

The boat is the ideal size for its small number of guests, and it is well laid out so that divers can chat together or find some privacy. Instead of using a noisy generator all night, Thai Sea relies on nature and therefore doesn't have air conditioning. From experience, this is not necessary, and gives a much more natural feel to these special cruises. The food is delicious, and the whole experience is made very special by the wonderful team.

The twelve lucky guests can enjoy 3-day diving cruises in Thailand, only visiting the best dive spots of Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, The Surin Islands and of course Richelieu Rock. Guests are even able to board or disembark the boat at the romantic paradise island of Koh Phayam, if they like. Instead of wasting fuel polluting the environment around Thailand’s most famous national marine parks, Thai Sea welcomes guests in a more natural way. The sea breeze is plenty cool enough at night, and there are no mosquitoes this far out at sea. There are both private and communal areas to relax and enjoy the sunny days as well as the starlit nights.

There is a kayak that guests can use for free, and things like soft drinks, yoghurts and toiletries are also free of charge during the cruise.

MV-Thai-Sea-Similans-BoatDiving from Thai Sea is both enjoyable and safe. Divers of any level are welcome, but those with a little more experience will better enjoy the amazing dive sites at this northern end of Thailand’s west coast on the Andaman Sea. PADI courses are available at very competitive rates for those who want to choose to enhance their diving level and skills below the waves. Non-divers can join at a discounted rate, as well.

MV Thai Sea Courses

Booking / Enquiry

Not only is MV Thai sea a great-value Similans liveaboard to do fun dives from, it is also one of the best and least expensive to take part in a PADI diving course while on board. There is a wide range of diving courses that can be completed while you enjoy cruising around these fantastic dive sites. Please take a look at the table below and let us know in advance about any PADI diving courses that you are interested in taking on board MV Thai Sea. In most cases, it is possible at short notice. But to ensure the materials are in your language and the instructor will be available at the perfect time and for the right dives of your cruise, it is a good idea to confirm or enquire before the trip.

Please note that the course dives are not ‘extra to the cruise.’ They are part of the liveaboard trip, but you will be taught by a qualified and experienced PADI instructor for that many of your MV Thai Sea liveaboard cruise dives.
