Similan Quest is one of the best-value Similan liveaboard diving boats. In addition, its flexible trips mean that you can join on any day of the season and stay as long as you choose. Most people stay for two days and one night, enjoying six dives at different locations. But you can also stay for three days and two nights, or even longer. The boat has air-conditioned twin & double cabins, great food, helpful friendly staff and the prices are hard to beat.
With nine air-conditioned cabins, up to 18 guests can stay on Similan Quest for its great value overnight Similan diving trips. The boat spends each week sailing around the Similan Islands and Koh Bon, meaning that each dive is somewhere different. Every Thursday & Sunday Similan Quest dives at the world-famous Koh Bon, and the other five days of the week it moves around the best dive sites of the Similan Islands. There are also beach visits when possible. You are transferred by speedboat from Khao Lak at the start of the trip, and then back by speedboat on the final day.
Similan Quest is 25 metres long and therefore able to offer safe & comfortable sailing between dive sites. Its speedboat is used for transfers, snorkelling, & diving at shallow reefs. And there is a motorized dinghy to retrieve divers and to take you to the pristine beaches.
The boat has four double-bed cabins on its upper deck, which is where the main dining and socialising area is. On the main deck there are five twin cabins and a large dive platform. There’s also a large sundeck, which has shaded and open areas. Delicious food is served throughout your Similan cruise, and it’s a blend of Thai and western cuisine; tasty, but not too spicy. All in all the boat is very well designed to offer safe & comfortable Similan diving cruises.
The local crew are friendly and helpful, and the international team of Divemasters and instructors are experienced, patient & fun.

Itinerary
Every trip begins in the morning in Khao Lak. Guests are taken from local hotels to Tab Lamu Pier and then by speedboat (departing at 8.00am) out to meet Similan Quest (arriving at 9.30am). There are three dives on your first day. These are at 10.00am, 1.00pm, and the final dive is at 5.30pm or a night dive.
On your second day, the first dive is at 7.00am. Then you dive again at 10.00am and 1.00pm. If you’re staying on board for just one night, you’ll be transferred back by speedboat at 3.30pm. But if you’re staying for longer, you can choose between the sunset dive at 5.30pm or join a night dive.
There are many different itineraries on Similan Quest because no two days of the week are the same. Please carefully select your preferred trip below, while also checking the schedule for your dates to see which dive sites will be visited.
Beach visits are not possible at Koh Bon (no beach).
On days at the Similan Islands, beach visits are sometimes possible on most days, but we never promise. This is because so many factors affect the ability and decision whether or not to visit the beach. These factors include the exact location of the boat and its next dive site, how crowded the beach may be, the time of day, and if the the boat needs to be somewhere else to fill up with fresh water.
The itineraries below are the most-common for each trip, but these can sometimes be changed for a number of reasons. Small changes are made due to weather & sea conditions, special marine life sightings, overcrowded dive sites, local-authorities' instructions, and the needs & requests of the paying guests. The safety & comfort of all guests is most important at all times.
