MY Blue Planet 1 is the perfect Red Sea liveaboard for guests who want a sociable trip without too many others on board. The boat’s capacity is up to 15 guests, all of which have air conditioning & private en suite bathrooms.
At 27 metres in length, Blue Planet 1 is not as large as some other Red Sea diving liveaboards. But it makes up for its lack of size with its sailing speed, personal trips, great value, and manoeuvrability. It recently had a major refit (2013) and gets annual refurbishments. It’s a very popular choice among divers. Like most Red Sea liveaboards, Nitrox is available, as is the Nitrox course if you’re not yet certified. Most divers are already Advanced, but if not you can do the PADI Advanced Course on board.
There is a sunbathing area on the boat’s uppermost deck. Then on the upper deck are two cabins, a small sundeck at the front, and the place where most guests enjoy time out of their cabins. This bar & sofa area at the rear of the upper deck is outdoors and partially covered. You can enjoy the views & sea breeze while relaxing & chatting with other guests, and maybe a post-dive drink or two. The main deck has a large & comfortable air-conditioned dining room in the middle, and the well-designed dive deck at the rear. Then in the lower deck are most of the guest cabins, all of which are twins.
Although capable of taking more people, trips are limited to just 15 guests. Couples may prefer the upper-deck cabins which have a large bed, with a single bunk above it. The cabins on the lower deck are all side-by-side twin-bed cabins. All cabins have storage space, charging sockets, reading lights, and a porthole or window.
Blue Planet 1 usually departs from Hurghada in the morning, after guests board the night before. Trips on offer include North & Wrecks, North & Brothers, and North & Tiran. These all have a great selection of world-class dive sites, and most include several special wrecks.
The professional and friendly team on Blue Planet 1 will welcome you on board, feed you well, and show you around the dive sites. Food is delicious and served three times per day, plus snacks, fruit and drinks are always available.

There are several itineraries on Blue Planet 1, all sailing from Hurghada.
The itineraries below are the most-common for each trip, but these can sometimes be changed for a number of reasons. Small changes are made due to weather & sea conditions, special marine life sightings, overcrowded dive sites, local-authorities' instructions, and the needs & requests of the paying guests. The safety & comfort of all guests is most important at all times.

Courses
Nitrox & PADI AOWD diving courses are available on board Blue Planet 1, but advanced booking is normally necessary.
Transfer details
The Blue Planet 1 team collect guests from local hotels or Hurghada airport for free on departure day. At the end of each trip the same transfers are available.
