A Review of MV Mandarin Queen 9 Liveaboard

We had an unforgettable 4-night liveaboard on the MV Mandarin Queen 9 as a family group of 7, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The Similan Islands diving was absolutely spectacular, but what truly made this trip exceptional was the overall comfort, safety, service and value provided onboard.

From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome and well looked after. The crew were outstanding friendly, attentive and always ready to help with anything, which created such a relaxed and positive atmosphere. The boat was very well run and safety was clearly a priority, both on deck and during every dive briefing and entry/exit. The dive instructors were knowledgeable, experienced and professional, and they made everyone feel confident and supported throughout the trip.

The onboard comfort was excellent. Our cabins were spacious, spotless and very comfortable, with plenty of storage (a big plus for a family group). The food was another highlight delicious, fresh and varied, with something for everyone at every meal.

We were aged 14 to 66 and every single person had the best time, which says a lot about the flexibility and quality of the experience. A special mention to Jamie, who supported our booking for almost 12 months, always informative, responsive and genuinely helpful. Overall, this trip delivered incredible service and value and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the MV Mandarin Queen 9 to anyone considering a Similan liveaboard.
